The performance of Endurance Lift’s FIBEROD® Series 300 Fiberglass Sucker Rods (FSR) has been proven through over 30+ million feet of successful rod lift installations since 2015.
One key to the success of FIBEROD® Series 300 FSR sucker rods is its rod body, which is composed of more than one million glass fibers bound together by a hardened resin. Another important feature of the FSR’s construction is its end fitting, which utilizes proprietary internal 12-groove wedge geometry to further add to the sucker rod’s load handling capacity and compression resistance.
Advanced Sucker Rod Performance
Advanced FIBEROD® sucker rods offer a number of important benefits when compared to other fiberglass rods and conventional steel rods, including:
Increased oil production – proprietary custom FIBEROD string design allows operators to achieve targeted production requirements, even in demanding applications
Extended run life in challenging deviated wells – reducing lease operating expenses, based on a lighter rod string which can utilize smaller pumps with longer strokes
Broad range of sizes –from pony rods to 37.5′ rod lengths and diameters up to 1-1/4″
Operating temperatures – standard rods available for conditions up to 185°F; high-temperature rods available for conditions up to 285°F
Lower operating costs – up to 25 percent lower lift costs, resulting in as much as $4,000 in annual energy savings in some wells, based on the significant lighter weight of the FSR rod string compared to steel
Corrosion resistance – the inherent corrosion-resistance of fiberglass construction ensures reliable performance in high-corrosion wells.
FIBEROD® + BLAZE® Couplings for Increased Production
Pairing FIBEROD® Series 300 FSR technology with BLAZE® rod couplings dramatically reduces string friction and compression, allowing for longer downhole stroke and reduced polished rod load. Based on these positive changes in downhole stroke and rod loading, production output can be increased by as much as 30 percent due to the higher inherent elasticity of the FIBEROD® rod string construction.
Proof of Performance – FIBEROD in Demanding Applications
Below are Field Reports featuring the proven performance of FIBEROD in four different demanding applications.
Solving a deviated well issue in the Bakken – using FIBEROD resulted in the well’s BOPD exceeding the operator’s production expectations, while also leveling-out the production decline curve substantially vs steel sucker rod design estimates. Learn more
Switching from ESP to Rod Lift in the Powder River Basin – the operator estimated that the decision to utilize a Series 300 FSR system instead of a second ESP saved them $130K in operating expense, while still maintaining production levels. Learn more
Reducing capital expenditures and downtime, while maximizing production in the Powder River Basin – employing FIBEROD with a 912 pumping unit increased production by 7.8%, while reducing capital equipment costs by 60.3%. Learn more
Extending the run life of a well, while reducing downtime and maximizing production in the Bakken – the combination of Series 300 Fiberglass Sucker Rods and BLAZE®-treated couplings has allowed the operator to increase run time by 3x (10+ months) while still maintaining production. Learn more
